Without a doubt, maritime plans are what most attract children on their holidays in Denia. A brilliant idea to enjoy a few hours of the sea and get to know the most picturesque coves with the whole family is to take the mini cruise from Denia to Javea, operated by Mundo Marino. 2. Conquer The Mountain

Both Montgo and Segaria mountains are located very close to Denia. This area is famous for hiking trails for all levels of fitness, from novice to pro.

One of the most recommended routes for the plan with the family is the Camino de la Colonia towards the Camell cave. It is a simple 5 km route with open visibility, low difficulty and an approximate altitude of 190 meters. Upon reaching the end (approx. 1.5 hours) a spectacular view of the entire Gulf of Valencia opens up.

4. Picnic Under The Pines

For adventurers looking for an escape to nature, we recommend visiting the “El Pinaret” recreational area. In addition to a large area of ​​pine trees, the park has a multi-adventure circuit with a zip line and a picnic and barbecue area.

El Pinaret is a perfect alternative to the beach as it has a lot of vegetation and space for children’s games.

5. Put The Family On Wheels

Do you share the passion for bicycles, skates or scooters? We recommend you visit the Pump track skate park in Ondara. The length of the pump-track is 120 linear meters, with an occupied area of ​​900 m². A circuit generally of small dimensions, which can be covered completely with a skateboard without propelling yourself with your foot or with a bicycle without the need to pedal. The rules of use remind you of the obligation to wear a helmet and protections.

7. Team Rowing

Few sports unite the family as much as rowing! In Denia and its surroundings there is a wide range of canoe rentals, kayak excursions or surfboards. Of course, there is a star route organized by OK Aventuras that passes through the Cabo de San Antonio marine reserve between Dénia and Xabia and combines kayaking through the caves with some jumping into the water and a very educational snorkeling route. There you can find sponges, sea urchins, smooth and groupers and with luck some clueless octopus! The route ends by visiting the Cova Tallada where they provide you with a flashlight and explain the different uses that the cave is famous for.

8. Find The Treasures Of The Castle

Of course, the Castle of Denia is a MUST VISIT for those who are passionate about history and stories about pirates. To create a true experience for your children, we invite you to try a Segway tour with the night option.

The 80-minute night tour passes through the Roques neighborhood, the site with the most history in Dénia. Upon reaching the top of the Castle, you can see the illuminated city from the top.

9. Watch Cartoons At Spain’s First Drive-In Movie Theater

Drive In Dénia Drive-In Cinema is a drive-in cinema with a double session of premieres and a bar with typical American Street Food – hamburgers, hot-dogs, pizzas and soft drinks. Located on Les Marines beach, the drive-in theater opened its doors for the first time in June 1979, making it the oldest drive-in theater in Spain.

Over the times, the site has survived many hardships such as hacking or the advent of the digital age. It has been changed and adjusted, without losing the spirit. Currently the cinema does not have a loudspeaker in the parking lot and the sound reaches each car by FM radio, but in the terrace area of ​​the bar there are loudspeakers that allow you to watch the movie in the open air while dining on a simple and delicious meal.

10. Open The Internal Artist In Escola Nova

Escola Nova is a new children’s project, located in the heart of Denia, which consists of a modern space for games, art and research for children from 2 to 7 years old. The center exercises active pedagogy, with reference to the Montessori, Reggio and Waldorf methods. Every hour there is a change of activity, among them are art, yoga, music and dance, learning the lights, etc.
